Here is a list of the materials I used:
~Mini Chinese take out boxes (found in any crafts store, they're not intended for food! )
~Plastic eggs - I got ones that are attached a little so you can close and open them easily
~Shredded paper and feathers to make a nest inside the boxes for the eggs
~Nail polish (I used 3 colors) and a small cup of water
~Green craft paper
~Easter stickers
~Yellow ribbon
~Jelly Beans (or any small candy to fill the plastic eggs! )
~Paper glue
~Glue gun or other fabric adhesive
First I decorated the plastic eggs using water marbling - I first saw this method to paint nails, but thought it's a great way to decorate plastic eggs too! I did that first so the eggs can dry while doing the boxes.
I chose 3 different colors nail polish.. you can use as many as you want.
Next I used the brush to drop nail polish in the water,

Wait for the polish to spread then drop more, I dropped total of 7 drops each time
When there is enough polish, swirl around to make a design.
Then dip the egg in the water and the nail polish will stick to the egg. I did one half at a time.
And here are the final eggs, I let them dry while making the rest of the craft. I did get some water spots on them, but it looked like it was part of the design.
For the box, I cut out strips of green craft paper, I used my cutter tool to put indents in the paper to imitate grass, you can also do that with a pen, or if you already have a grass patterned paper - even better! Then glued the "grass" to all 4 sides of the box. Put some Easter stickers around it. I wrapped the handle with ribbon and made a little bow which I glued with glue gun to the sides of the box.
Once the plastic eggs dried, I filled them with jelly beans.
Then I stuffed the box with shredded paper, couple of colorful feathers and placed the egg inside it.
And that's it! easy to make, but time consuming for decoration. The grass took me the most time, then making the little bows. So if you buy grass printed paper and bows that are already done, then it's gonna be even faster! :)
Thanks for reading and Happy Easter!
